How to find your style as an artist

A Look at Artistic Style

An artist's unique style is their artistic fingerprint, a distinct mark that distinguishes their work from others. Through the elements of art, like a secret language, artists imprint their signature style onto the canvas. It's in the deliberate choice of colors that evoke emotions, the interplay of textures that beg to be touched, the arrangement of shapes that guide the eye, and the unexpected use of materials that defy convention. It's a symphony where each element harmonizes, telling a story that's unmistakably theirs. Whether bold and vibrant or subtle and understated, an artist's style shines through these elements, becoming the essence that makes their art a reflection of their inner world and experiences.

One of the fundamental aspects of my creative process is the use of different textures. Textures add depth, visual interest, and a tactile quality to my art. Whether it's the roughness of torn paper, the smoothness or thickness of acrylic paint, each texture introduces a new dimension to my pieces, evoking emotions and engaging the viewer in a multisensory experience. When a viewer asks to "touch my art", I know I have succeeded to paint a piece true to me.
