Comprehensive Course Description + Policies

This hands-on 4 week, 1.5 hour per class, workshop series invites artists and creatives to loosen up and explore abstract mixed media through play and experimentation. We’ll dive into supplies, color, design, and a variety of techniques while creating layered abstract studies—without pressure or perfection. This is a space to try new things, trust the process, and discover fresh creative possibilities through intuitive mark-making and joyful exploration.

Week 1-Supply overview. Set up and surface prep. Basics of color and design. Hands on work with color mixing, experimenting with supplies and tools, design work.

Week 2-Focus on layering, basic mark making, and collage

Week 3- Focus on printing and other texture and relief techniques

Week 4-Finishing your artwork and time to play and experiment.

*Please note this is a technique based class. The goal is not to complete a single work of art but to learn and experiment with a variety of techniques, supplies and tools. Some supplies will be provided, but will also require additional materials (under $50 total). Please wear clothes appropriate for painting or bring an apron or smock.

All sales are final. Because space is extremely limited and materials are prepared in advance, no cancellations, refunds, or partial refunds will be offered for this workshop.

*Inclement weather cancellations will follow the Fayetteville Public School Schedule unless otherwise notified.

Transfer Policy

If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your spot to another person, but:

• You are fully responsible for finding the replacement participant.

• You must provide their name and contact information prior to the workshop.

• All financial arrangements related to the transfer must be handled between you and the new attendee.

Non-Transferable by the Instructor

The instructor does not facilitate transfers, resales, or waiting lists. All transfer arrangements are solely the responsibility of the original purchaser.
